Welcome to my Haitian projects
The header on these pages honors Enabling Minds,
the focus of my most recent mission trip to Haiti
It all started in 1997, with a first mission to Port-au-Prince to help set up a
computer lab at Louverture Cleary School, run by a US based non-profit
called The Haitian Project, Inc. That life-changing trip developed into a
fifteen year passion to help improving the quality of life of many Haitians.
Today I am directly involved on 2 different projects, and assisting
strategically another. Unlike many other volunteers I do not work with my
hands: I am a strategist, I use my mind and my God-given gift, the word. To
drive nails into a wall I use the Yellow Pages, and call a contractor.
I am proud of my record, but most of all I am proud of those individuals in
Haiti who, answering to the challenge, have raised themselves to excellence
and have met the expectations of my numerous supporters.
This website is dedicated to my current projects. I hope to be able to show
that small projects can be grandly successful in a place where success is
measured in tiny steps and where large agencies (sadly) often come short of
our expectations.
